Intent for our Art & Design Curriculum
The intent of our Art and Design Curriculum is to inspire a genuine love for art that will last a lifetime. We want our children to explore different artistic expressions, allowing their creativity to flourish and helping them build a strong foundation in artistic skills that they can carry with them as they grow.
Our curriculum aims to provide children with the knowledge and understanding of art and artists that will help them in their future journeys. We believe that art is a crucial way for students to express themselves and think critically. By encouraging them to share their thoughts and feelings through various art forms, we aim to boost their confidence and enhance their ability to appreciate and engage with the world around them.
We focus on developing art skills and concepts that are transferable. Children will engage with a variety of techniques and materials, ensuring they not only learn practical skills but also grasp artistic principles that can be applied in different contexts.
