R.E. Curriculum
Intent for our R.E. Curriculum
The intent of our Religious Education (RE) Curriculum is to foster a lifelong love and passion for the subject. We perceive RE as essential for a well-rounded education that cultivates curiosity about the diverse beliefs and practices in our world.
Our curriculum equips children with the necessary knowledge and understanding to confidently navigate the next stages of their lives. In an increasingly diverse society, appreciating and engaging with various faiths and views is vital, and we strive to provide our children with the tools to understand the beliefs, values, and traditions that shape others' lives.
Our RE curriculum sets high expectations while being adaptable to meet the diverse needs of all learners. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every child's voice is valued, and individual learning requirements are thoughtfully addressed. Through a variety of teaching strategies and tailored resources, we support every child in achieving their best in Religious Education.
Crucially, we aim to develop RE skills and concepts that are applicable beyond the classroom. By emphasising critical thinking, reflection and empathy, we prepare our children with vital skills that will benefit them in their future academic and career pathways.
