Intent for our Science Curriculum

The intent of our Science Curriculum at Grosvenor Road Primary is to instil a lasting love and enthusiasm for Science in our children, encouraging a curiosity that will endure throughout their lives. We recognise that building a strong appreciation for the sciences is not just about understanding biology, chemistry and physics; it is about encouraging critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

At the core of our curriculum is the goal of equipping pupils with essential knowledge and understanding of Science, which is crucial as they progress in their education. By exposing them to key scientific concepts and methods, we aim to prepare them for the complexities of a world increasingly shaped by science and technology, ensuring they leave primary school with both key knowledge and skills.
