Ofsted & Performance Data
Our latest Ofsted report carried out in 2015, judged our school as ‘Good’.
Ofsted was impressed with leadership and management, behaviour and safety, the quality of teaching, children’s achievement and our early years provision. The inspectors praised our children for having very good attitudes to learning and being keen to succeed. They also said that the children’s behaviour in classrooms is of a consistently high standard and described them as well mannered, polite and helpful to one another and to visitors.
These are wonderful things to be said about our children and we are all very proud of them. The inspectors described our curriculum as engaging to children, inspiring them to learn and behave well. Our teachers are described as having considerable skill in teaching reading, writing and mathematics. Reading throughout school is described as very good and rapidly improving.
These are just a few of the many positive comments that appear in the report.
The two areas for development that were identified by Ofsted to move us to outstanding were already being addressed in our school action plans.
