Ofsted & Performance Data
Our latest Ofsted inspection, carried out in January 2019, judged our school as ‘Good’.
The inspector was impressed with many aspects of our school and these are outlined in the report.
The inspector praised our children, describing their behaviour as exemplary. He stated that our children are caring, thoughtful, confident and respond positively to high expectations. These are wonderful things to be said about our children and we are all very proud of them.
The inspector describes our curriculum as wide ranging where there are opportunities to apply English and Mathematical skills to a range of subjects. Children experience a broad and rich curriculum, where the quality of writing is of a consistent high standard. All our teachers lead a curriculum area and they are described as a strong and effective team, with a clear understanding of progress across the school, providing a curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils.
Our Early Years staff ensure that children have a high-quality learning environment. They know their children well and focus their work on developing children’s vocabulary and providing a rich experience for children on entry to school.
The two areas for development that were identified by Ofsted to move us forwards were already being addressed in our school improvement plans.
